The Leica M4-P is a legendary fully mechanical 35mm rangefinder camera, produced in Canada from 1981–1986. This black chrome version combines the timeless Leica design with the reliability and simplicity that film photographers love.
Built with Leica’s renowned precision, the M4-P offers six framelines (28, 35, 50, 75, 90, and 135 mm) — making it compatible with nearly the entire Leica M lens lineup. Its bright 0.72× viewfinder provides clear composition, while the all-mechanical shutter (1 s to 1/1000 s + Bulb) ensures dependable performance with no need for batteries.
The M4-P features a hot shoe for flash, easy quick-load film system, and a smooth manual film advance lever. Its solid metal body and classic black finish give it a professional, understated look that ages beautifully.
Perfect for both collectors and active film shooters, this is one of the most affordable entries into the Leica M system — sharing much of the same handling and feel as the iconic M6, but without the built-in light meter.
